Esa Medical only lasted twenty minutes

H my hubby had his esa medical and it only lasted twenty minutes. She only got to page 3 of his form and said thats fine jo need to go further do you think this is hood or bad. He has been on esa for 4 years this was a reassesment

The short assessment does not need to be a bad thing. The assessor should keep going until they have enough information to confirm or deny an award. It is unlikely that they could get enough to recommend a finding of 'Fit for work' in such a short time.

Of course, this is only a guess. I'm afraid the only way we will know for sure is to wait for the decision letter to arrive.

Hi Margaret, I to had my WCA om 4th July and my assessment which was timed by my friend who was with me lasted only 12 minutes. I to was concerned by this and asked the assessor why she was not going to ask me about my mental health conditions as she had only asked about physical. She told me and I quote' It is the policy of Maximus to terminate the assessment when they have sufficient information that a Client meets a criteria'. I took it from her statement that I must have met a support group criteria and she told me that while she could not confirm this she would not deny it either!. My result ESA Support Group!. Whilst I fully appreciate every case is different and there is absolutely no guarantee that your husband will have the same result this is one possible outcome. So try not to worry

Thank you Mb. I forgot to say that my own assessment was completed in just under 30 minutes - and I was also placed back into the Support Group.

I had my assessment in May and it was 7minutes, my son timed it. We went in at 3.15 and were leaving the building just before 3.25. I was so upset, panicking, but I was placed in support group for another 18 months.
