Late PIP form

Unfortunately I've been unwell so I haven't been able to do the PIP form I've had sooner and am going to have to post it tomorrow, the 27th. The form is due on Sunday, the 28th and I'm panicking because it won't arrive until it's the 30th with the bank holiday which I was unaware of, so it's going to arrive 2 days late.

I thought I had to SEND it by the 28th but I guess I'm wrong. Is there anything I can do? Will make claim be denied? I would appreciate any help you guys can give me because I'm really worried. I have schizophrenia and things have been difficult for me, so I haven't really been able to do much of anything recently.

Have you asked for an extension already? If not, it would be worth doing so as soon as possible. An extra 2 weeks is usually given without any problem.

If you have already been given an extension then the only thing I can suggest is to ring and explain that your form is on its way.

By the time I ask for an extension on Tuesday after the bank holiday it will be the 30th, two days after the due date. Do you think that would work because I would have thought it would be too late by then?

It's probably worth phoning and explaining that your form is on the way, I don't know whether they will still be able to change the date on the computer - but it's worth a try!

Thanks. If the worst comes to the worst and they deny my claim, what can I do? Would I be able to apply again? I'm terrified I'm going to end up homeless and destitute!
