Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
You say you are appealing, have you completed the MR stage?
Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide, it has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and instructions on how to complete the form. See
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip
If you have further questions or need help with an MR then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

You do not need to go into detail on the SSCS1, once your appeal has been accepted the DWP will send you a copy of all the paperwork used in the making of the Decision and their reasons for opposing it, once you have this you can then prepare your own submission and go into detail about why your son should receive an award.
Don't wait for the "bundle" to arrive to start work on this, but don't send your papers in until you have had a chance to go through everything that the DWP have said.
