Another PIP Medical Question

Hi

After you have had a medical with ATOS, I read that the report will then go to a Decision Maker at DWP.

Does the Decision Maker at DWP look at all the evidence I submitted initally, or just the report from the medical?

When I have time I am going to merge all your topics relating to your PIP claim as we ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one place.

The Decision Maker is supposed to take into account everything you have submitted in support of your claim. However, they have no medical knowledge and tend to rely mainly on the assessor's report.

To me this was a separate question that I hadn't asked before.

I am terribly anxious as I have never had to have a medical, I was awarded DLA HR care and mobility on paper based assessments.

So who made the previous DLA decisions? ATOS or DWP?

Hi, I hope I have put this in the right place this time

When I was previously assessed for DLA, the last time a couple of years ago, did the DWP read my claim and make the decision for no medical or was it sent to ATOS - therefore they made the decision?

I know things are being made more difficult with PIP, hence nearly everyone needs a F2F. As my PIP claim is nearly identical to my last DLA claim, I was wondering what the difference was?
