Good news Gordon. Just had a call from the DWP DM who has confirmed that they will be awarding the standard care rate. She will also get in touch with the tribunal office and confirm that there is no need for an appeal hearing. I no longer need to worry about how to pay for orthotics and podiatry care.

Hi G,

That is fantastic news !!!! :cheer:

Well done for challenging DWP and winning !!!

It's good to hear that your award will help you pay for the treatment that you need !! :)

You should receive written confirmation of the award through the post, and I would keep all your documentation safe until you have received the written confirmation.

That's great news! I am glad that you can stop worrying for a while now :)

Does anyone know what happens when you reach 64 if you receive PIP, as there is no longer Attendance Allowance?

Hi G,

I notice that you have several other PIP related topics which I will now merge with this one for continuity.

Any other posts that you may have made in another members topic can be viewed : Here

Please keep all future PIP related queries to this topic.

If you qualify for PIP Award/s before reaching 65 years old, you will continue to receive PIP after 65 for as long as you continue to qualify for it.

I can't really offer any meaningful answer to your query regarding AA, as it is a totally hypothetical scenario at this time.

You should Bookmark/Favourite this page in your Internet Browser now.

That way you can return to this topic easily to pose any further queries that you may have by replying to the topic.

See : This Topic also !

Thanks in anticipation of your future co-operation in keeping all your PIP related queries to this topic ! :)
