TOPIC: DLA to PIP

DLA to PIP 2 months 1 week ago #246195

I have received 2 letters this week from DWP, one cancelling my PIP application and the other cancelling my existing DLA ! it seems unbelievable in these times that they are doing this to vulnerable people !

Hi Gareth,

I am really sorry to hear this.

Did they give a reason why?

Do you have any welfare benefits advisors that you can call to help you. The food bank in some areas are helping with benefits

best wishes

I had a DLA to PIP face to face assessment on 27th February. On 16th March the DWP issued a brief letter saying they have enough information to make a decision on my PIP claim. 2 weeks later I have not had any further communication on the decision. Am I pending while other more urgent matters take precedence?

Decisions have always taken a while to come though in the best of times.

I guess you are right on that. The timing of a basically pointless letter raised my suspicion that maybe someone in DWP has said all hands on deck to deal with the avalanche of new UC claims and leave everything else in your in-tray. Now I've said that the decision will probably arrive tomorrow!
