Mandatory Reconsideration 3 months 2 weeks ago #246400

Like yourself and several others have mentioned, I submitted a request for a mandatory review before 24 March. I have not had any confirmation of receipt yet but know it arrived at the PIP office through the Post Office signed for system. With the transfer of large numbers of staff to deal with the surge in Universal Credit claims, I am concerned that my request will bet lost in the system.

Hi Mike

If it does get lost in the system at least you have the proof they received it in time.

Hi all,
Just to let you know I had no success getting through to the DWP but I just received this text today:

'You've asked us to look at our recent PIP decision again. We will write to you once we've done this. As a guide you should hear from us within 10 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.'

Like others here, I submitted mine in writing and had it tracked and signed for so know it was received at the end of February. I imagine, therefore, that others who mention here that they submitted at a similar time should be receiving some form of notification of this shortly. Hope this helps.
Stay safe,
Marsaili

I sent mine in and they recieved it on 30th December 2019, I didnt hear anything so I rang them on Jan 24th, they had the letter but hadnt put it on the system (which she did whilst I was on the phone) . I then rang at the start of the corona virus and was told its 12 weeks when it goes on the system but now the virus has put us on lockdown well who knows!

Mandatory Reconsideration 4 weeks 2 hours ago #248702

Hi everyone

I have posted a new topic on MR because I could not find this one. But just wanted to update my MR position.

I managed to get through to the DWP this morning after an hour on hold. They told me they had sent out a letter with the decision on the 7th May 2020 which I have not received.

They told me the decision was "no change" and would sent me a duplicate letter.

Also, without asking, they said if I wanted to Appeal, I could do so even though I have past the deadline because I did not receive the original letter and to put the reason on the Appeal form.
They said that they would put notes on my file about not receiving the letter.

So now have to concentrate on the Appeal. Any help and advice gladly appreciated.

Keep safe and good luck to everybody still waiting for their MR decision, it might be worth a phone call just in case, like mine, the decision letter went missing in the post.

Could I ask which tel no you used, as one of my clients is finding ESA tel numbers temporarily suspended? Many thanks
