Hi DieselX11

Make a bullet point list of things you want to say so that you do not forget. When you are stressed it is so easy to forget what you want to say.

I always say that to claimants at tribunals, make a bullet point list from the assessors report that you do not agree with.

Hi DieselX11

As BIS has said in a previous post, have a glass of water with you in case you get a dry throat.

I did a telephone interview yesterday with DWP on behalf of one of our clients, they had me down as their rep as I had already done an ESA Tribunal appeal for the client where we were awarded 63 points and 3 schedule 3 descriptors from zero points and zero schedule 3 descriptors.

The interview went very smoothly, with the lady from the DWP, unfortunately due to what is happening at this moment in time we are working from home and I did not have the client's file with me which I told the interviewer, she informed me that she was also working from home. I did have a copy of the ESA Tribunal decision which I was able to quote from during the interview.

The interview lasted approx 15 mins, she informed me that she will contact the clients doctor and that she had already been in contact with the client a few days previously.

I asked how long it would take for a decision to be made, she informed me that once she contacts the client's doctor next week just to clarify a few points then she will submit her report by the end of next week, she also informed that it will take about 12 weeks to process before we hear anything.

Hi just an update. I had my telephone interview this morning. I felt it went as well as could be expected. I was just asked by the lady to confirm my name, dob, address etc. She then started on the questions. I was able to have all my paperwork around me to refer to and made notes also. The only thing that I found a little awkward was that she asked me the questions in a very mixed up random way. Like ‘can I plan a journey’ and then straight to what mediation do you take? And then what do you enjoy doing at home? I presumed (and I’m sure in previous f2f assessments they work through the questions in order of the questions in the PIP form. The whole call lasted 44 minutes and she rang exactly at the time I was told. She ended the call by telling me that she had all the info that she required and to expect approx 8 weeks to hear a decision. Wish me luck! I’m currently on just lower rate mobility. Main condition is Spinal arthritis causing chronic pain and various other so called minor ailments.

My partner waited from 9-30 this morning on a telephone interview at 1_30 they still hadn't rang so I got in touch with capita and they informed me that the dwp had asked for all the files back and were going to make decisions themselves. Didnt inform us and my partner was in agony with his back sitting waiting for phone call.for 4 hours ..
