TOPIC: DLA to PIP

DLA to PIP 6 months 1 week ago #213232

Received my letter telling me my DLA was ending and invited to apply for PIP.
Made the phone call and form arrived a week later.
Had until 9th June to return it, sent it on Tuesday 29th May and received a text the following day from DWP saying thanks we have received your form etc.
Does that mean it’s scanned on there system already? Also what sort of timescale shall I expect things to happen now, ie when will I hear about a F2F? and how long is the process?
Will I hear from DWP first about a F2F or from the health company?
Thanks

Yes the text should only be sent when they have received your form.

The next thing in the process is an assessment, you should hear from the Assessment Provider for your postcode in 3-6 weeks with an appointment (if one is required), 1-2 weeks later.

Update.
Had my F2F on Friday, 29th June.
Had a female physiotherapist doing my assessment, which I thought was strange as I have quite complex mental health issues.
To be fair she was quite professional but kept asking very obvious questions that were clearly stated in my original claim form and the evidence I supplied to DWP.
I asked if I could see what she had typed at the end of assessment and she was happy to oblige.
She had typed exactly what I had said to her so I was quite happy to see that.
So a couple of questions, does the health Professional cross ref all the evidence, the assessment and the application form to score you points or do they just go on the assessment?
When will the earlies I can ring DWP for the report.
Thanks

Both the assessor and the DM should review all of the information available when considering the points to award/recommend but they will favour the report/assessment in doing this.

You should be able to request a copy of the report now by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim unless you are in Northern Ireland., where you will need to wait for the Decision.

Update.
Still no decision on my claim as yet.
However received the medical report last week, I totted up the points the HP had awarded and it was 12 for the living part and 4 for mobility. Will the DM take that or will they try and knock the points down?
Also the HP had says in her report to review again in ONE year which I was gobsmacked with.
I have been diagnosed and been treated constantly for my MH issues for over 20 years so even though my conditions fluctuate how they can say to review in 1 year is beyond me!
If the DM agrees with report and awards me PIP for 1 year is there an option to appeal the length of award?
Thanks
