Hi, I was hoping someone can clarify for me, do you only fill in pip 1 form if you don't do the initial telephone call to start the pip process.

Also I recall asking them if they would use the info from my recent esa wca and they said "if you are giving us your permission" I said yes.
This was the end of February 2017 when I'd received the invitation to move from dla to pip, I'm now questioning myself as I get so confused and forgetful lol, does this sound right.
Thanks in advance for any help

Yes the PIP1 would only be completed in writing if you had not made the phone call.

They would have asked about your previous DLA assessment, not ESA.

Hi,

I still haven't heard anything back after returning PIP form ,it is now 9weeks and I am wondering if this is the norm for my area(Scotland) or should I now give them a call to chase it up.
I know it is difficult for you to know timescales for all areas but any advice would be appreciated.
Kind Regards

I don't have details for Scotland but we have seen a significant increase in waiting times for an assessment across the whole country, you can try contacting the Assessment Provider for your postcode to see if they have any idea of the delay.
