ESA3 was created by Pinkpenquin
In today’s post I received form ESA3 I have not reported any changes
Although I am currently being reassessed for ESA (waiting on decision)
I am in the Support Group (CB)
I phoned DWP and asked why I was being sent this form and was told that due to some people being underpaid this form was being sent out. And that I may/could be entitled to more more as I am also on DLA ( although also waiting on decision for PIP)
I am aware that if you have over a certain amount savings you won’t qualify for income related benefit.
I explained my husband has just taken early retirement and has received a lump sum from a private pension, so he can be at home to care forme, so we would not qualify due to savings.
I was told that they will mark this on the system,
I am worried that not filling in this form this may affect my reassessment for ESA, can you please advise.

I would encourage you to re-think the decision not to complete the ESA3 especially if you were transferred to ESA from IB, you may well have qualified for extra money from the date of transfer until your husband received his lump sum and if your total assets and savings are below £16,000, even to today.

Thankyou for your prompt reply really appreciate it
Our total assets are over the limit, so I don’t feel we would qualify
However my main concern is if this form has any thing to do with my Reassement for ESA which is currently ongoing and ‘live’ on the DWP system

The ESA3 is a financial assessment in regard to Income Related ESA only.
