As per your advice on this amazing site, I sent off a copy of the Tribunal Decision by Special Delivery but not till after a week or two because the Welfare Rights worker that attended said that the Tribunal will notify the DWP same day and that she had found that recently back payments have only been taking two to three weeks. After I didn't hear, I decided to follow Benefits and Work advice and sent in a copy. I would advise all users of this site not to hang back after a Tribunal decision but to send a copy off immediately, preferably by Special Delivery which gets it there the next day before 1pm. But this is not cheap, so send it by recorded delivery at least. I sent all my papers, Claimant Questionnaire, Mandatory Reconsideration request and the Appeal papers by Special Delivery as I saw it as an insurance policy should the DWP deny receiving them or saying they received them late. It is a bit like a chess game, you have to try and outmanoeuvre the opponent and anticipate their shifty moves.

Thank you Gordon and members on this site, you kind of think if you've struggled to the tribunal stage with 140 + peices of evidence and they find in your favour having been on DLA and prior to that invalidity allowance since 1995 with a degenerative condition caused by faulty gene therefore no treatment or improvement possible,DWP would concede but unfortunately not that simple.thanks again for all the advice here regards angela

The DWP confirmed they received the tribunal decision the day after my appeal, but it was waiting in a "queue" for a decision to be made (three weeks later) still not made! I do have money owed since march now but although it would be nice to have that,my main concern is to have a letter confirming they will honour the tribunal judges ruling and I can forget about all this for a while.

Last week I had a communication from DWP containing two forms. One form asked if I had been in prison at all since June (date my indefinite DLA was stopped) , whether I had been in hospital and whether my bank details were the same as before. Second form was about my bank details. Again I sent it back by Special delivery, and I printed off the signed form from the Royal Mail site (insurance). I am taking this latest development as a sign that they are going to pay me what they owe me back to June, and then start to pay me monthly from then on. It would be nice to get it before Christmas, but it's looking doubtful. Still will be a nice chunk of cash to start 2018.

Patricia

These forms are a pre-cursor to the DWP implementing the award and putting it in to payment, hopefully before Xmas.
