PIP Supplementary Report?

Hello

Could you please clarify what is and why the DWP request a supplementary report? My report received from the HP showed that I should be awarded the enhanced rate but I have been waiting since October for a decision and was told that a supplementary report has now been received and a decision will be made shortly.

I have received a copy of the Supplementary Advice form and it shows that the Health Professional has changed all descriptors assessed by the Nurse who conducted the assessment based on presumed questions asked by DWP . I have yet to receive the DWPs decision but I believe they will base their decision on this report.
Activity 3 they have asked why aids are required? However this was originally awarded by the Tribunal due to the fact that I need assistance in undertaking this activity reliably and the HP has concluded that I do not meet this. An additional letter has been sent highlighting some of the points raised with further evidence. I believe a decision will be sent out just before Christmas, will I be given extra time taking into account the Christmas closure and would my benefit change immediately once their decision is made?

They have also stated that as I am able to get in and out of a car that I do not require assistance to get in or out of the bath or need assistance in dressing or undressing. When I do use the car I use an aid to assist me in getting in and out.
