IB to ESA error?

Hi all. Just a quick question, I heard about the DWP massive error when transferring people from IB to ESA.
So my query is,that I have been on incapacity benefit then latterly ESA ,since 2006 without any break! I was receiving £110 per week when on IB and on the income related band.
So when I was transferred I never received an assessment,but put straight on ESA. It wasn't until I checked my bank account to see that I was now receiving £102 per week!? I just excepted it,because I never new anything about the DWA's planes of the changeover.
I year later I noticed that my ESA payment was not being paid,so I spoke to a lady in my local job centre and she told me my entitlement had ended and that I had to reapply for income based ESA,as the contributions band had ended,so does anyone have an idea if it sounds if i was one of the people that were put on the wrong band of ESA, as I should have remained on the £110 a week until the level of ESA catches up. It works out all the people affected are loosing £8 a week for 2 or 3 years!! Thanks in advance for your time.
