PIP REPORT

Hi, my son is due his PIP medical assessment tomorrow and I was wondering if I am able to get a copy of the report prior to the decision being made or do I have to wait until after ?

I see you are in Northumberland. I am in north Tyneside. Taking my son for his assessment today in Newcastle.

I spoke to dwp yesterday to confirm the process for requesting the report as there seems to be, on reading the forum, quite a few people being told they can’t have it until after the decision. I was told I can ring any time after the assessment and request a copy of the report

Thank you. Even the gentleman who assessed my son was unsure of the procedure - at first he said I couldn't and then he changed his mind to I'm not really sure. At least he was a mental health nurse so had some idea of the day to day problems we encounter. I HOPE your sons medical went well today.

My sons medical is tomorrow... I typed today in error but didn’t realise at the time.

How did your son’s medical go? Was it at home or assessment centre? Hope you don’t mind me asking

It was at home and appeared to go well but ultimately the decision letter will say if it actually did or didn't. It was certainly less stressful than having to travel to the centre with him (52+ miles round trip) as he doesn't cope well in those kind of situations. GOOD LUCK for tomorrow.

I had my face to face 19th April got a text message on 24th to say received it by DWP rang DWP on same day to request copy of my report and got it through post on the Thursday even before a decision has been made. Glad i did what a pack of waffle and i recorded it too glad i did.
