PIP f2f home assessment likely to be denied!

On Saturday my wife’s PIP assume that appointment came in the post for her to attend a centre.
I rang the number straight away and explained we needed her assessment to be at home. The lady kept interrupting me then said that due to the fact my wife can follow sat nav she can attend. I explained due to my wife’s current extremely ill mental health we would like them to reconsider she told me she would not be filling out the form as my wife will be denied due to the sat nav answer.
Eventually she agreed to do it telling me it is going to be pointless.
I am just wondering if anyone can advise me anything I can do in the meantime to get them to understand we need any assessment to be at home for any chance of my wife coping with it?
Also to add, The g.p has unsuccessfully being trying to get adult social care to help since last September and adult mental health only provided a psychiatrist to medicate her then discharged her from their services until she is well enough to attend an assessment with them so we are without any other professional support to back my wife’s claim.

Realistically you are only going to get a home assessment if her GP writes a letter to the Assessment Provider explaining why they cannot attend at their office. The letter needs to be unambiguous about her problems, any suggestion that there are circumstances where she could attend will significantly undermine the letter.
