DLA to PIP

Did my MR approx 4 weeks for the reasons I stated earlier in this thread.
Spoke to DWP yesterday and they have received my letter but it isn’t marked on there system yet as a MR, whatever that means, which really confuses me as last week received another decision letter about my PiP award, which awarded High rate daily living for ongoing period( the original award was for 2 years).
The letter received last week from DWP had no mention of any MR notice or anything, it literally was the original decision letter but with length of award changed!
What do you reckon going on? Will ring them again later in week.

The award length is part of the Decision so it being extended to On-Going would imply that the Decision has been revised, this may be the result of your MR being completed but only the DWP can tell you this.

Yes I get that, however as mobility remained unchanged on decision letter surely they should of put a note in saying this is the mandatory reconsideration decision and that would of gave me paperwork to appeal.
All I received was the decision letter nothing else!

I don't disagree but only the DWP can tell you what is actually going on.

Still really confused as my claim still hasn’t been looked at officially under the mandatory reconsideration process according to DWP today.
Is it uncommon to receive an ongoing award with a review date after a year though( which is what I’ve got at the moment).
Will it definitely be review at 12 months?

The DWP will not have made an On-Going award if they intend to review your claim after a year.

Either it is a one year award or a two-year award with a review after a year or it is an On-Going award with review no earlier than ten years.
