Yet another court attendance PIPs was created by Mrs Maria Bentley
Hello Everyone

Quite sometime since l have wrote on forum,or even accessed Disability and Work News. I feel that l have actually given up with all this Pips assessment, Mandatory Appeal, and Court etc. The DWP and Atos have reduced me to tears on so many occasions with their lies, attitude and total absence of any feeling of remorse, discrimination. I am so disheartened, l am an honest, once sociable, member of society, but l am very poorly, trying desperately to have a positive attitude, for what ?. At every stage of this process l have been made to feel a fraud, seeking a Benifit to which they believe l am not entitled. After working all my life in a professional capacity, l also was very active, but unfortunately l became ill when l was 60. Due to being prescribed too higher dose of Steroids over a prolonged period, the knock on effect has been disastrous. I retired due to ill health at 62, and was advised to apply for DLA, l was awarded highest rate care and mobility. pips arrived with their so called professional assessment process, which produced a scanty cut and paste report that my grandchild could have improved on. My award was lower rate for care and mobility, and the comments from DWP to justify my award were horrendous, and l felt then, l have to fight this, it's not right. That was last summer and so much followed, resulting in my day in court. I was so prepared, l was 67, the court could not understand DWPs ruling, l had 265 pages of evidence, including two assessment reports. The court apologised but requested an adjournment, and ordered DWP to attend to explain themselves. DWP never responded. In the post yesterday, a new court date, also mentioned l cannot have the previous penal. Cannot go through this again, they have won, l feel so upset and dishearten by everything. Sorry everyone, don't let my experience be yours. Good Luck x

Please don't give up, if the first panel thought that you had a reasonable claim then there is no reason to assume that a second panel will not come to the same conclusion as well. :)

Don't give in to DWP, dig deep and find your inner strength, you will be annoyed at your self when feeling a little stronger for not finishing what they made you start. Sending hugs and go get them vibes xx.

Maria do not give in to them. Fight with all your mighty and you will prevail. If you are doing this alone, seek help and support from the various bodies that can support you in all of this.
I wish you well Maria. Keep on keeping on.
