Hi Gordon I have found my letter off the DWP regarding my Tribunal decision form last summer and it does say they can contact me after Sept 2018 to make sure I'm receiving the right level of PIP. However, it says later on that I will be sent a letter 14wks before my award ends to claim again if I want to which is Sept 2019.
So as I am filling in the review form now as they have contacted me a year earlier, will they contact me again as well 14wks before?

Also, I not sure how too address the new AR1 form as it is asking if there are changes. As there no changes in I'm not not sure what to write here on the form as the guide is saying to write additional info even if things are the same?

Thank you

If your claim is being reassessed now then it wouldn't be next year.

You have to make a decision about how you will complete the form, the guide explains your options and why. I can't tell you what to write or indeed what not to.

Hi Gordon,

Regarding the assessment what I meant was as the review starts now then they won't contact me again 14wks before next Sept surely?
Surely it's a review now OR the review is 14 wks before award end and not BOTH surely?

Sorry, there was a spelling mistake in my post which I have now corrected.

No, you won't be assessed again next year.

Hi Gordon,

Is it best to get fresh medical evidence even for a review? My CFS nurse said he would do one but he did one for my tribunal only just over a year ago.

Also in terms of length of award, I keep getting only two years (and they renew a year early) but I know of people getting 5-10 years with this condition. I know it depends on how likely it is you are to improve sig but is age a factor too as the people I know are over 50?

I was only diagnosed last year but the consultant thinks I've had it for years but the road to diagnosis with CFS can be a long one. I'm receiving treatment but there is no cure - NICE guidelines but I'm worried that the DM will think because I'm getting treatment now that I'm lilkely to improve which I don't believe is the case.

Is there anything I can do or obtain in my evidence that gives me a better chance of getting a longer award?

Thanks

Angelcake
