ESA Tribunal Cancelled was created by Tinhat
Had my ESA Tribunal today scheduled for 3.30pm after waiting 28 weeks. Received a telephone call from them at 11.30am to say it had been cancelled due to them needing me to send me a medical records consent letter which I have to fill in.
Is this normal practice because surely this should been previously sorted out as I did include a print out from my GP of my health conditions to the DWP on my assessment forms.

It's not usual but it is also not uncommon.

Unfortunately, the panel does not receive the claimant's papers until a day or two before the actual hearing so there is no way to pre-empt this situation.
