PIP HEARING - 52 WEEKS AVERAGE ! was created by ASTDCT
I WAS TURNED DOWN FOR PIP EVEN THOUGH I GOT THE HIGHER RATE OF BOTH OF THE PREVIOUS BENEFITS DLA AND IB AFTER APPEAL I WAS AWARDED THE LOWER RATE OF PIP FOR DAILY LIVING BUT NOTHING FOR MOBILITY.MY CARER HAD THEIR CARERS ALLOWANCE STOPPED AND ONLY AFTER APPEAL HAD THAT REINSTATED.
I AM NOW WAITING FOR A COURT DATE SO THAT A JUDGE CAN SORT THIS PIP NIGHTMARE OUT.
I EMAILED THE COURT LAST WEEK AND WAS TOLD I HAD BEEN WAITING 26 WEEKS ALREADY BUT THE AVERAGE WAITING TIME IS 52 WEEK.THEY ALSO ADDED THAT IF I WAS SUFFERING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP I COULD GO BEFORE A JUDGE TO EXPLAIN THIS AND MY CASE MIGHT BE BROUGHT FORWARD!
I HAVE JUST REDONE THE PIP SELF ASSESSMENT TEST ON THIS SIGHT AND EVEN AFTER DOING LOWER POINT SCORING ITEM THAN I CAN MANAGE JUST TO BE SAFE AND GET A TRUE SCORE I SCORED 50 POINTS FOR DAILY LIVING AND 20 POINT FOR MOBILITY,SO WHY AM I BEING PUT THROUGH ALL THIS STRESS AND ANXIETY?
IF MY CAPITA ASSESSOR HAD NOT OF LIED NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NEEDED.WHILST I AM SUFFERING DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY ATTACKS SHE IS OUT RUINING SOME OTHER ILL PERSONS LIFE!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I have to ask you not to post in capitals, apart from being very difficult to read it causes problems for members who use screen reading software.
I'm afraid I can't really answer your question other than to say that this is the process that all claimants disputing their awards have to go through. Whilst it may seem personal, it's not, it's just the system.
