PIP Appeal on Tuesday was created by thisandthat
Hello all, My appeal is due on Tuesday and I am really not looking forward to this ordeal, and I will be glad when it’s all over. I think I have covered everything that needed to be done up to this point, but if anyone has been through this process, then could you please share any pointers or last minute help. I’ve no idea what to really expect, or what the panel will be like, I am just dreading the whole thing, but it’s got to be done otherwise the DWP have got away with a pack of lies again. All help and advice gladly received. Thank you.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There will be three members of the panel, a Judge or solicitor, a doctor and a layperson with experience of disability issues.
The questions will mostly come from the doctor.
They will be asking about how and why you meet the criteria for an award of PIP so make sure you understand the Descriptors that you are hoping to meet.
The following is an informational video for an ESA appeal

Best of luck.

Thanks Gordon, that’s quite a good snippet, some of the other ones I have seen ( some real) are a bit different. Generally the tribunal panel have been okay, I think it has been the appealent that has let themselves down by not being credible enough and no or little preparation. I think I have done all that I can now, and I don’t really want to overthink it anymore. It probably isn’t that helpful to trawl the internet at this stage now, as there are so many mixed reviews and opinions on what’s best to do and then that will mess with my head and give doubts on my own case. Hopefully I get a good nights sleep, this time tomorrow it will all be over, for better or worse.
