PIP Re-Assessment and further evidence. was created by wideernie
Hi,
I was recently re-assessed for PIP at a f2f interview. When I won my award it was by paper based decision which was largely due to a lengthy phone call to the writer of my primary evidence letter. I just wondered if the Decision Maker this time will do the same thing or is it hit and miss? I have asked for the assessment report and need to know if I can ask the DM to phone the person before they make a decision?
Thanks in advance,
Wideernie

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It's very unlikely that the DWP will contact anybody listed as providing you with support, if this was done then it would be the assessor who would ring as the DM has no medical training.

Thanks for the reply. Is it reasonable to assume the Assessor would phone the evidence provider?
