Hello, I finally bit the bullet and applied for PIP. Sent the form off last week. Today I had a phone call saying there was a cancellation for a home visit this week and that I could have it. The thing is, I never asked for a home assessment? The lady said she was from PIP and that DWP had passed my form over to them. Is this standard? I don't know what to expect from a home assessment. I just expected to be called into one of the centres.
Obviously, they felt that your conditions warranted a home assessment.
A home assessment is not significantly different from one held in the Assessment Provider's offices, our PIP Claim guide has sections on the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
