I have been on dla for several and was lifed off but they moved to pip and they have taken away my care component, i have had my mandatory reconsideration and was turned down. the question i have is would it be quicker to appeal or make a new claim.

A new claim will take around 16 weeks, possibly a little longer due to Christmas, appeal wait times do vary based on where you are but they are significantly longer than the time for a new claim.

However, there is no point in your making a new claim unless you are able to address the issues that meant that you did not receive an award this time.
