Hi all,
I have a total of 10 different physical and mental health issues, which means I have a lot of symptoms and a lot to remember regarding how they affect me.
What are the disadvantages of taking notes INTO an assessment - can it influence the assessor and the decision maker negatively?
Has anybody here taken notes into a PIP assessment and what was the reaction of the assessor?
Should I take a copy of my application form instead?

There shouldn't be any disadvantage to your taking notes or your claim form into the assessment but if you refer to them then explain why you are doing so.

Thanks Gordon. When the tape recording has started I will mention that I have a couple of pages of notes and state why I need them. Then ithe reason is officially part of the record.

Hi there,
Just to say,I got marked down for reading bits of scribble on a bit of paper. She said that although he says he suffers with extreme anxiety, he had no trouble reading off pre written notes out to me.
I think she was trying to imply that I appeared to be super efficient.
Be careful.
