In March a tribunal awarded me both PIP components at the enhanced rate until May 2021. I've just received an ESA50 and I'm wondering how much influence the tribunal decision will have on the ESA assessor. Am I less likely to be called for a medical? I've been claiming ESA for several years. I receive the severe disability payment, the disability income guarantee payment and the support group payment. My circumstances have not changed. I will complete the ESA50 as recommended in the current members' guide.
It's unlikely that your PIP award will be considered as part of your ESA reassessment if you think that it is relevant then you really need to include the information with your form. Whilst there are areas of overlap between the two benefits, the criteria can still be quite different so you need to explain why you have included the information.
