PIP mandatory appeal was created by Sarah
Morning sorry brain not working so even figuring out this webiste isnt happening. I posted before saying pip have decided I'm "fit and well" so asked for appeal. I've got my report through post now. Do I go through that to argue facts I feel worng? Everywhere I go for help wants to charge me! No point ranting now crap system is as most of u already know. I've got one friend that can help write appeal but she has no idea about any of this system and how to write things. Please can you advise.
Would really appreciate comments not just links.
Thanks Sarah

You need to do two things.

First, you need to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria for an award, it is easy to have misunderstood the criteria that you are being assessed against and to have presented your problems in a way that will not result in your scoring points.

Secondly, go through the report to deal with the issues it raises but try and deal only with the facts, arguing directly with the assessor's opinions is rarely successful and deal with ones that lead to your scoring points. Wherever you can make your arguments by referring back to the evidence that you submitted with your form.

In report it says - doesnt look tired and well kempt looks normal and well and not trembling. not sweating and I'm doing London Marathon next year!
-My hair was unwashed and I had my sons hoodie on so looked a state. I was crying and shakey when I got there. They reassured me assesment would go ok! Got taxi as was a mess with stress/anxiety and total exhaustion. Yup i'm so running London Marathon next year! Cant even get dress everyday and can only manange being taken to local shop to get odd item as cant walk/stand great!

So i dont argue back with facts shes put that are false I write what?! So angry with what shes put but apparently if I'm angry then im ok! I saw Consultant in Aug and havent been able to go to hospital out patient appointment s as been too ill. How can I prove anything?! Last docs appointment was over phone as couldnt get there but it was for antibiotics not really related to ilness. I've got worse since assesment. This assessment and my ESA one is longest I've been out since Aug.I cancelled my first ESA assesment as couldnt go as too ill. I forced myself to go and will be polite when out but struggling to get my head around this anyway makes it worse then they decide u ok and put false info on report.

That's not what I said, of course, you should certainly correct facts like you are running the London Marathon and how you were dressed it goes to your undermining the assessor's opinions but in addition, you must deal with the PIP criteria as it is only by your showing that you meet this that an award will be made.

The revision rates at the MR stage are not high but they do happen, you have to decide whether it is worth putting the effort into the MR, knowing success rates are low versus going onto appeal where they are significantly higher but you could wait nine months or more for a hearing.

Nothing you do for the MR is lost or tainted if the Decision is not changed.
