Re-awarded ESA support group...but don't know how

I got a letter today to say that I have been awarded ESA and put in support group ( I already was) I have a couple of questions if any one can answer?
1. I didn't reapply so I am assuming they have taken their info from my recent PIP application?
2. The letter doesn't say how long for. Only "as long as you are still entitled to ESA" My hubs is phoning them but can't get through. Does anyone know how long they are likely to leave me in peace? The application process makes me so ill....it would help to know how long until they make me reapply.

Don't assume this letter is the result of a Decision to leave you in the SG, ESA letters are notoriously misleading and can be sent for no apparent reasons. The only way to know for certain what is going on is for you to contact the DWP office dealing with your claim.

ESA is an indefinite award with planned reassessment so there is no award length, if you do contact the DWP they can tell you when they expect to reassess your claim again.

Thanks Gordon,

The letter does say that they have looked at my application for ESA following a change in circumstances. There was no application from me and been no change, the only thing can be my PIP application. It goes on to say I have been awarded ESA and detail how much I will be paid and how I get extra because I have been put into support group.

I can only repeat what I have already said, the only way to know is to contact the DWP office dealing with your claim, we have seen this letters before and they have not always been the result of a Decision.
