Sorry for my many questions. I am getting in despair with Capita . I sent to DWP much evidence as they say. 20 documents and 2 medical reports including clinic letters and how my ilness/ condition affects me. I had a letter on 8th Dec , rang on the 10th and they said F2F on phone, home or clinic. " Clinic" is not suitable for anyone with slight mobility problems. At 6pm on 10th they offered me a Home viisit at 9am the next day. Tried to get me an office appt tis week next week

I submitted a request from my GP to have a Paper based assessment ...waitting on that decision In the meantime post came telling me t go to the office at 4pm ( it will be dark ) on 28th . I am getting fed up as I keep speaking to Northern Ireland and I cant see any reasoning. They keep sayiing its a live system so ring up and see if cancellation for Home visit if PBA refused . Stressed!! +++++

You need to chase your GP, if they are only offering assessments at their offices then they have not accepted a need for a home assessment, the short notice one you were offered was almost certainly an attempt to fill an assessor's diary.

Hi Gordon, I do find this very stressful as it is obvious the Health Assessor has not read the medical evidence. If they had they would be offering a home visit. I am classified as both Home / Office. It may be useful to B&W that the PIP office in Cardiff is totally non PIP user friendly with no parking, the 2nd floor, minute lift and over almost 0.5 from a car park... with a mere 3 disabled spaces 100 yds away. Not a bit like the user friendly DWP offices. As a friend who is ex DWP worker said that a fit person would not go to the venue!!!! But I am not barred from a Home visit, they just do not have one ..apart from the cancellation which I now wish I had taken .

I have to wait 4 days for the result of a Paper based request from the GP ....I have not explained to them but this is as a result of me being extremely anxious as 5 weeks ago I was mugged in a car park in broad daylight and robbed. The appintment they expect me to attend is 4pm so will be dark. I feel under pressure to take anything. Am recently bereaved to so feel very depressed. I am thinking of complaining to Capita on the email address they give or would that not be wise?

It is quite obvious my medical evidence has not been read.

Also would a paper based assessment be disadvantageous ... can they award nothing? My rheumo has been very detailed over many years .

Thanks in advance

I don't think we have seen anybody on the forum not receive an award where a Paper Based Review was done, there is nothing that would prevent them refusing a claim on a PBR but your answers on the form and the evidence that you had attached would have to be pretty poor for this to happen.
