ESA & PIP Forms was created by Teresa
I recieved both these forms that need returning before Dec 27th I rang the Macmillan unit who helped me fill in my previous forms to be told that they don’t have the funding to do them any more, so was advised to go to Age Uk i have limited mobility, use sticks have numerous medical conditions & have to wear splints on my hands so not able to write & have poor vision, I went today armed with loads of paperwork & hospital letters & my up to date medical notes, they didn’t write anything on my form just see attached sheet, & they didn’t fill in there details for filling in my form, I feel that even though I have the evidence the form has nothing on it & I am going to fail my ESA, I am meant to be going back on Friday to get my PIP form filled in but I am to upset to even think about anything, can any members offer any advice

I'm afraid we get mixed responses from members about the quality of support from welfare agencies to help with completing the ESA and PIP forms.

Unfortunately, I don't really have a solution for you, the Government has been removing funding from these groups for years and it is now very difficult to get any form of help, let alone something as specialised as completing the forms.

These are your claims and only you profit or lose by the contents of the form, so if you are not happy with what has been included then you need to tell the person doing the forms for you about this.

Have you looked at our ESA Claim guides

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

and PIP Claim guide

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

These will allow you to understand the criteria and whether what is being written explains your problems in enough detail.

I sent both the forms back by recorded delivery to ensure they got back by the given dates, does anyone know how long it will be before they get back in touch or how they arrange the face to face medical, my pip form says it’s a review form but in 2017 I was awarded it till nov 2019,does this mean I will have to go for another medical.
I included many different letters from different consultants that I have seen during 2017- date with various conditions, falls, & operations, which is evidence that my health is deteriatingb& I am worse now than I was in 2017
I Also sent the same medical notes with the ESA 50 do they give you plenty of notice for the assessments & do they send it by letter or text thanks
Is there an easier way to find this link when I reply because I had to search through pages of queries before I could find this again, thanks

Best guess is that you are looking at at least 3 to 4 weeks to see whether another face to face is required or not.

You can contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update

www.gov.uk/government/publications/pip-postcode-map-uk

Capita
www.capita-pip.co.uk/contact-us.aspx

IAS (formerly ATOS)
www.mypipassessment.co.uk/contact-us/

If one is required then you will get at least seven days written notification although this includes postage time.

You can either bookmark this page in your browser or you can see a list of your recent posts by clicking on your form name as it appears on the site, for example; to the left of your post above.

I called at about 9 weeks after sending in my PIP form as I'd heard nothing. as it had been over 8 weeks, they gave me the contact number for the Assessment Provider who made an appointment for me while I was on the phone.

Also Teresa, if you are having trouble finding your disscussion when coming back to the forum, click on your user name near the top of the forum area once you've logged in - you should find your posts in your profile. At least that's how I find mine.
