ESA medical evidence - where?

ESA medical evidence - where? was created by BS65
currently ESA support group.

so I was told that the assessment centre have my esa form but they wouldn't tell me that they have the attached medical evidence which is infuriating.

I was also told by DWP national phone number that we (WR) shouldn't have attached medical evidence to ESA form but instead we should have (unknown to me, not mentioned by WR) sent all medical evidence to ESA direct either via freepost to Wolverhampton (not same address as ESA form envelope) or Belfast.

But I was also told not to bother to send medical evidence to Wolverhampton or to Belfast as the assessment centre would be sending them their report, but at the same time they couldn't confirm if my medical evidence/diaries would also be sent along with their report, which is infuriating.

So I am left in a panic now not trusting the assessment centre to actually read and not dismiss my diaries nor my medical evidence and that the ESA would then make their decision without seeing my medical evidence at all.

I've been given 2 sets of what to do by ESA which contradict and 2 sets of what to do by assessment centre which contradict. WR is not available till the day which is imminent, but there is still barely enough time to get someone to go to the post office.. pls read on!

It is very close now to my assessment appointment. But what do I do?
-Trust the assessment centre to read/not dismiss/forward on my medical evidence and detailed diary entries,
or
-now OR after my assessment, send my medical evidence/diaries to the freepost address in Wolverhampton who say an unknown amount of time then takes place before they scan/forward on to ESA in Belfast but it might be too late
or
-now - just 3 days before the assessment appt- send my medical evidence/diaries by registered next day direct to Belfast even though they say it'd be at least 8 working days before its read and it might be too late
or
-after I have had my assessment then send my medical evidence/diaries by registered next day direct to Belfast even though they say it'd be at least 8 working days before its read and it might be too late.

Thankfully WR have my back, but I am panicking and I just want to avoid assessment not taking on board my medical evidence/diaires.

I do hope you can advise plan of action thank you.

What you have been told by the DWP is incorrect. The ESA50 is returned directly to Maximus, the Assessment Provider for ESA, so if you attached evidence to the form then they will have it.

If you are still concerned then take a copy of the documents with you to the assessment and ask the assessor to read them and include them in your file before they start the interview.

thanks Gordon.
Do you think the medical evidence should also be posted off after the assessment to DWP/ESA team as well? Or not?
thanks again

It's up to you, you will do no harm by sending a copy to the DWP office dealing with your claim.
