PIP Tribunal was created by LESLEY
Hi pls can anyone advise me as I’m new to this helpful site. After being on a pip for both mobility and help I have had them both STOPPED i have asked for a reconsideration and this has again been refused. I suffer from very debilitating arthritus all over which makes me in a lot of pain and depressed I am a diabetic and suffer incontinence. . The lady who took my medical has lied about a few things. The reconsideration says that as I still occasionally drive if my arthritis was that bad I wouldn’t be able to drive which is absolute rubbish. I’m very upset about this do u think a tribunal would be advisable as I genuinely need the help x

I've moved your post to its own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in other member's topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

You have two options, you can either carry on to appeal or you can make a new claim for PIP, there is no waiting time.

In either case, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that you have shown that you meet the criteria for an award, as without this anything you might do with the report will be for nought.

To make a new claim, just follow the procedure that you did when you first applied.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
