What does the letter say?

Have you tried contacting the JC+ person for more information?

I don't think it means you have done anything wrong. According to the government website, anyone claiming a range of benefits including PIP can be subject to a performance measurement visit and people are just selected randomly for them. (Unless your letter states otherwise you have just been unlucky). It's about looking at finances - nothing to do with your health. I know of one person who had one - and after they had clarified their financial situation they continued as normal.

I had one of these last year, and like you I was initially rather freaked out about it, particularly as I'd had a run-in with the local Compliance Unit 6 months earlier. (If you get a letter from the Compliance people at your local job centre, then you should probably worry). The guy who came to visit was very nice, and explained that it's about making sure that your benefits have been set at the appropriate levels based on your circumstances, so they'll want to see bank statements, rent books and that kind of stuff. They may also want to take bits of paperwork away to make copies for their records and then post back, so if there are things you'd rather not let out of your sight, it is probably safer to make a copy to give them once you've shown them the original. They won't be going through your cupboards.

Hope that helps.
