PIP preparing food was created by mosala
I can't prepare a meal from scratch using fresh ingredients because I cannot bear to touch raw meat/fish and root veg.
The OCD sets in with bleaching and long rituals if I touch meat, which I cannot face.
I got 2 points for prompting. With my review, can I say that I think I should get 4 points for assistance. In that the helper would do the meat part for me, rather than watching me do it. Would they accept a helper doing the task themselves?

Yes, you can but you will need to explain your rituals in detail, the triggers, the time they take and whether there are failure points that would mean that you would have to start again. I realise that these can be quite private but you need those assessing you to understand your problems.

You are just like me! When I did my PIP the medical assessor gave me 2 points for preparing food,(my OCD sounds very similar) but the DM overrode it and gave me 4 points. I really was not sure at the time who was right, but now I think 4 points is correct.

Hello again Cruella, Looks like we have both got a review. Ridiculous as have had severe OCD for over 30 years and it's not likely to get better in 2 years. It's hard to know how much to put in the review. Not enough and it wont be strong enough, too much and they wont be bothered to read it! Good luck.

Gordon, I gave a lot of detail originally. Do I need to repeat it all, or just say to them that the details are the same as before.
