F2F how long? was created by fastmoggy
Ok, looking over my hand written notes (not the best handwriting!) whilst wife being questioned at F2F , I've noted the start and finish time what I thought was the F2F but the HCP was still talking to us for another 11 minutes which just noticed! just out of curiosity...would these 11 minutes be also part of the F2F for their report? if so then this would be unethical to say the least. Has anyone else noticed this 'anomaly' as the hcp lists the F2F times which is more than I had listed ,including these 11 minutes which id guess is an observation of the claimant when they think the relentless questioning is over which from experience is very stressful to say the least and just another part of the test?

I would not get hung up on the times on the report, it is one of the things that members report as being incorrect but we always say that the assessment effectively starts when you leave home and does not end until you are out of sight of their offices.

We had to think long and hard on this one and all we can remember of these'11 minutes' is just general chat about how to get an occupational health visit. and how busy the hcp was. I know I asked about recording the F2F, wish we had! but all I have is my hastily written notes at the F2F!
To be honest I was hoping that the '11' minutes that was listed as being part of the questioning would be classed as an 'informal chat' rather than a further test of cognitive awareness.

Oh just to add, this was a home visit due to her condition so at the very least they are acknowledging there is a problem?

If something was said to the assessor then it was part of the assessment, whether you realised this or not.

Thought about this and all we can remember was the HCP asked if we had any questions after they said the assessment had finished. No questions were based on the actual assesment but the HCP told us about organisations that may be able to help, the weather and how long it took to get from the last appointment. I did however ask if the HCP's recomend re assesment times longer than the 18 months we regualy get ( the hcp did laugh at that suggestion!) as the reapplying for PIP can be very stressful to say the least! Personally i cannot see any advantage they could gain from this 'chat' as the cognative part of the asesment had already been carried out.
If they have used anything from the 'missing' 11 minutes then that's a very crafty and underhanded thing to do! On saying that could the question of the 'missing' 11 minutes be more relevent as this would then indicate that the assesment didnt last as long as the time stated on the PA4 and even the HCP said it would only be about half an hour at the begining.
