Request for recording of WCA interview

Hi there,

When my form was initially filled in, a request was made that a recording of my WCA interview was given to me.

I was initially called for interview in October, due to cognitive difficulties, post-surgery I mis-read the letter and missed my interview. DWP rescheduled my appointment for January. On arrival to the interview, I was told it was cancelled, as my interviewer was off sick. They immediately booked me in for the 1st February, they did not confirm that the session would be recorded.

Who do I contact and what do I say to confirm that my session is recorded? I notice in your ESA handbook, you quote legislation from 2012, so am wondering if it's all up-to-date? As the interview is next week, I propose phoning them with this information and backing it up with a letter. In the past, I have found communications with DWP very intimidating. Quite frankly, I feel scared of calling them, even though I know I need to make contact with them. So, any information that would help when I communicate with them e.g. up to date legislation would be deeply appreciated.
Below, is my attempt at a letter. I would warmly welcome any amendments to improve this letter. If the following letter is not suitable do let me know that too:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

"As a request was made in my ESA application form that I am furnished with a recording of my capability for work assesement; it is my understanding that this will be done by the professional conducting my interview using dual recording facilities at no cost to myself. If recording facilities are not available for my interview 1st February 2019, I request that my interview is postponed until they are" ...End of Letter.

Has

There is a template letter in the ESA Claim guides that you can use to make the request.

The Guides are up to date as of March 2018 when the last change to ESA was made.

You can contact Maximus about them recording the assessment.
