I posted earlier about my transfer to Support group without a medical after turning up for a medical only to be told they'd double booked!
My concern now is that because I have a small works pension I am going to lose most of my benefit. Is this so?

If you were transferred from IB to ESA, then your pension should be treated in the same way as it was under IB.
If this was a straight claim for ESA;
If you are Contribution Based ESA, then there is an £85/w disregard followed by a £1/w deduction for every £2/w of excess pension. So as an example, if your pension is £100/w then the excess is £15/w and the deduction is £7.50/w.
If you receive Income Based ESA, then your pension may be deducted in full from your ESA payments.
You need to speak to your local CAB or Welfare Rights offfice, for exact details of how your benefit will be affected.

thanks Gordon. I was transferred from IB to ESA. Hopefully this means I am not in the pickle I was fearing but I will wait for my letter before opening the champagne, booking the world cruise, blowing it all down the pub ( as we evil benefit recipients all do with our money!)
I doubt I'd have got through this without the information and support provided by this site and have been singing your praises to various people and organisations. I am in danger of being seen as a bit of an expert in this field - time to get back under my shell maybe.

Don't forget about the flat screen TVs that all benefit claimants possess, despite the fact it is virtually impossible to purchase any other kind of TV these days!
