A helpful tip hope it helps was created by paula
Hi guys, a lot of people probably do this, but i thought i would share it with the forum anyway, in regards that silly envelope they send with the esa 50 to send back to atos, my friend taped the envelope to a white a4 envelope, and we posted it back today. Royal Mail accepted it no problem. We sent the form back registered recorded so the dwp and atos saved my friend £1.09 Hey thanks dwp! Hope this helps anyone sending the form back and wondering how on earth to get all the info in the silly envelope.
We got proof of posting, and then we phototcopied that, and wrote a little note on that to the decision maker at the local benefits office to prove that the original questionnaire has gone back to atos before the deadline, and she has sent with it a copy of her questionnaire and all evdience to the decision maker, all pages of everything had her name, date of birth and national insurance number on every page highlighted, and sent that to them registered recorded and got proof of posting for that too. We even got photocopies of proof of posting hey you never know, and these are now all atttached to her copy of the questionnaire.
Sorry a bit long, but maybe an idea some have not thought of, why should they take more money from us, tape the envelope to a big one save on postage. At least it has gone back before the deadline and it is one less hassle, now she waits. Hope some of this helps anyone! :)

Good advice. You are right about the silly envelope size - am quite sure that its size and the small spaces for anwering qs are subconcious ways to dissuade claimants from providing as much info as we need to...not that we should have to go to so much trouble anyway...sent my form off last month..only thing i haven't copied is the proof of postage.. always a good idea to have more than one copy of everything..so i shall do that.

I sent mine Special Delivery which i think is worth the cost for the peace of mind and instant trackability...
