TOPIC: Some good news!

Some good news! 5 years 3 months ago #84679

A week ago I attended my atos medical after returning my esa50 renewal in December. We had to wait a very long time before being called in to see the doctor by which time I was very poorly. Medical was conducted from the doctors couch and took nearly an hour, she asked why I hadn't requested a home visit. Really could not tell how it had gone but today received a letter from dwp, it was a bit ambiguous because the first part talked about wrag, there was a tick box at the start of that paragraph, unchecked. then turned the page which talked about support group, the tick box at the start of that paragraph was checked so to clarify I phoned the dwp and yes I am in the support group with review due on April 3rd 2013.
Thankyou for the wonderful support of this site, the guides were the only way I could manage to get through the form filling. Thankyou to all the mods for your dedicated support.
best wishes
a not so hassled mum :)
ps. sent a copy of everything to the dm at the same time so dont know if that helped.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Thanks Mrs H. overwhelming relief especially as I am esa (c) and due to end on 30th April. Although thinking back to the medical when I mentioned that I was in wrag the doc was very suprised as was the personal advisor at jc+ ( I didnt want to appeal the first decision as was too worried about losing what I had.

No sorry radhika, there were no details in the letter but I am on a liquid diet due to dysphagia also gastroparesis, have complex neuro disabilities which affect nerves and balance and joint disorders causing dislocations and chronic pain syndrome, am a wheelchair user but cannot self propel, can only walk short distances but with severe pain. so lots of complex medical issues and not sure if any one thing triggered or that because my condition is progressive that working would have a major impact on my health.
if they send me the info with the reasons i will let you know.
