Just working my way through the guides and wondered if I need to exercise caution about a question at the beginning and a question at the end.

Page 4 asks for details of the care professional who knows the condition best. Since the GP details are already provided, rather than put down one of the consultants that are seen once every blue moon, I would much rather put down the details of the Carer - me. I provide 24 / 7 continuous care as a live-in Carer and witness the daily challenges of the claimant first-hand. But I am not a qualified medical type person.

How would the submission be perceived if I was also listed as the person filling-in the form on Page 18?

Is this advisable?

Hi l46,

I am not sure that you would fit into the category of a "Care Professional" as stated in The ESA50.

There would certainly be nothing amiss with you filling in The ESA50, as the claimant's full time carer.
