Had a home DLA medical recently, I had appealed against a rejection of claim, inadvertantly the whole procedure was being recorded on our home security system. My question is since I didn't know, and as a consequence didn't think to tell the visiting Doctor , if my application is disallowed can I transcribe the recording and use it at the actual appeal?

The interview was very strange and not what I was expecting at all.

Hi P,

Even if you had intentionally covertly recorded you Home "Medical", there is nothing illegal in doing this.

Yes, you can submit transcripts of extracts from the recording.

Further, these transcripts could be presented to a Tribunal, if it gets that far, and if the Tribunal feel that the recording includes relevant evidence, they could instruct that the recording should be allowed as evidence.
