Atos ESA Medical Tricks ?

Just recently had the medical and came away with several concerns relating to what I suspect are tricks of their government funded trade. I suffer from Osteoarthritis,spine,knee,ankle with instability and waiting for a knee op.Had a hip replacement two years ago with one leg now shorter so I wobble along with poor balance and use a crutch.I was greeted by a very mature female nurse who was very assertive.I was shown to the interview room and was asked to take a seat in front of the computer desk.Two chairs available to me,one without arms one with.The armed one was furthest away and I made my way to that as easier to raise from. I was told not to sit there as she couldn't see me.I pushed the armless chair to the side and pulled the armed one over with one hand whilst holding crutch with the other.Never thought much about it at the time but CAUTION this could well be a trick and I fell for it. IF YOU NEED ARMED CHAIR ASK FOR ONE TO BE PROVIDED BEFORE and hope it's in place.I should have asked her to move it even though I am capable to do that how did she interpret that I wonder?
Next came the rapid fire computer questions with very assertive questioning bordering on the aggressive with no interest in explanation and on to the next question. I am really concerned what happened next and wonder if another trick. It went like this. Q. You say you have a problem with your right knee? A. No my left knee Q. You have just said you have a problem with your right knee.A. No,I did not,you have just said riight knee,I said left knee. This was uncomfortable,I felt this was not a genuine mistake either trying to confuse me which knee I had problems with or tryiing to see how I reacted to a stressful situation. I was not phased by this but many would. I went to this medical alone as very independent but in retrospect I would advise taking someone not only for moral support but as a witness.We all know these medicals are flawed but I never thought aged 57years having served my country in the forces for 18 years I would ever be in a situation like this in our country. Suprise,suprise I got O points but will go to Tribunal. Sorry so long but hope it may help a little for someone,I'm sure there are many tricks ATOS use.

One answer to this problem is to try to get your assessment recorded, then verbal trickery can be revealed at the appeal stage.

If you are being recorded, then you might care to comment as you go along - "As you can see, my left leg is shorter than my right leg," or "I can't hold my arm up for any longer than this."

Update,now going to Tribunal.Got Atos HCP medical report,full of lxxx,mistakes,omissions,assumptions and additions.One aspect of report stated "Was observed to walk with the aid of a crutch from the waiting room to the examination room a distance of 22 metres". I queried the distance with Atos and was suprised to get a reply in writing stating the distance was 11 to 12 metres. I also stopped twice in that distance but suprise suprise no mention of that by the HCP in the report. These tricks are sickening,the decision makers are going on what these people are saying to a great degree in this process it's a scandal.Everyone knows about these flawed medicals so how long do we have to put up with them before something is done?.

Is it worth specifically making a complaint about the assessor?
