Thanx O. No not even had a call up for assessment yet. Was hoping in my dreams I've had a paper based assessment and been put back in support group, and the letter is in the post. Just too frozen wi fear at mo to ring them and find out what's going on. Bit of an ostrich rite now wi my head buried in the sand. Currently dealing wi pip form. It's like a juggling act at mo, and trying to stay calm and focused, well......................! Thanx agen Mrs H, G, O for ur posts. Really helps that someone out there is taking time out to listen especially wen u all going thru ur own tortures. I read all ur posts every day and wonder how u are all coping. Good luck to u all! xxx

Well the white envelope just arrived. Assessment at end of month, for ESA. paralysed wi fear now. Can't stop shaking, shut self in bedroom again. Not even finished filling in pip form yet. In my eyes they definitely do this on purpose (having u deal wi both bens at same time I mean), It's happening to far to many people for it to be a coincidence. In their favour they have given me over three weeks to find someone to go with me, and it's local. Taken no notice o docs letter for home visit, although don't think I could handle one o those a...holes in my house anyway. Sorry this is question about pip. I already ben given two week extension for filling form in. Needs to be in next week and only half way thru it. Does anyone know what chances are on getting further extension under circumstances of still dealing wi ESA.

Ps it looks like early appt,(not sure what time they start first appts) so that could be better as perhaps I won't have to sit around and wait as long as if it was later in the day. Hope I'm right, or am I kidding myself?

Pete

We do have members who have received a second extension. Ask! The worst that they can do is say no in which case come back to the forum and we can talk about your options.

Thank you Gordon, have just done that. Was told I got it in theory but I may be best to call back Mon to check cos it has to go to case manager to agree to it. Explained about dealing wi this and ESA reassessment at same time and not coping at all well wi it. Think they said they made note on system about me dealing wi both at same time, but I could have made that up as my head is all over the shop right now! Think will still try aim for next week just in case and if I do get the extra time it will be a bonus to put extra time in on it. Anyway thanx again!! Have a good and peaceful weekend!!

Hi Porthole Pete, it seems particularly rough that you have your ESA reassessment and PIP at the same time. I know it won't be much, if any, comfort to you, but hopefully by having them both to do you'll limit the time you have to drag up all the horror you live with and normally don't have to express in words. I find the writing/constantly thinking of how my disabilities affect me a total nightmare and they make my conditions worse. I do feel for you and hope your claims are dealt with quickly and fairly. I had my ESA reassessment a month before being 'invited' to apply for PIP and it's exhausting and distressing. Fingers are crossed for you! B) :) B)
