1. Yes your daughter can accompany you in to the hearing. You need to decide whether she is there just to provide you with support during the hearing or whether she will also provide testimony as well.

2. The most important thing, whether you decide to attend or not is to contact the venue that morning to tell them what you are doing.

If you are unable to attend due to the snow then make it clear but for the snow that you would be attending and that you do not want the hearing to proceed in your absence.

You may find that the panel members will have the same problems and it is possible that you hearing will be postponed anyway, if this is the case then you obviously would want to know that you do not need to attend.

The Judge has the discretion to continue with the hearing in your absence so that is why it's important to contact then and tell them your wishes.

IT IS OVER

I write this the day before I'm due to attend my tribunal. Ive not slept with the worry but at 12.08pm today the DWP rang me at home. A very nice gentleman explained that he was from the DWP and that he was a decision maker and had been asked to look at my case again. I held my breath as i have heard of miracles but didn't want to think this could be one. He explained that he had revised the original decision dated 21st December 2016 finding me fit for work and had now awarded me ESA. I began to well up but held it together. He then said he had awarded me the support group and the tears came a flowing. I apologised and explained how much this meant to me as it has been a very long, difficult road. I did still keep crying and saying thank you and then regained some kind of rational thought and proceeded to ask how long might this be awarded for. 3 years was his reply. As expected the tears of relief kept rolling and i was speechless. The relief i felt in this moment was indescribable. He was very pleasant and explained i would hear from my local benefit office shortly and said have a good rest of the day. I am in an utter state of shock and relief.

I found this website during one of the most difficult times in my life. It felt like my whole world was falling apart. Without this website i would never have got through any part of this process and i say that from the bottom of my heart. The guides, forum, advice, members and moderators are worth their weight in gold and the subscription is worth every single penny and more. If you follow these guides and advice you have the very best chance of gaining the award you deserve.
Don't give up no matter how low you feel, i almost did several times.

Right in the middle of this ESA battle i got invited to apply for PIP also. Again this website was my first go to and i got my award. Some very challenging times but all worth fighting on through.

So a huge thank you to all the moderators, members and the accurate advice and guides for all your help. I have renewed my subscription and will continue to do so to support this great website and the valued friend it has been to me.

Really pleased for you and very glad that you did not have to deal with the snow.
