Surely with cognitive function being impaired and tje "brain fog" with tje condition you should get enhanced due to not being able to plan a journey alone?
For example if you need to use a satnav and are unable to follow directions?

i finally decided to request a MR. I completed the forms and documentation, including a CD of the assessment, and sent them off. the recording was returned immediately because they could 'only deal with written information'.
I waited 6 weeks, then had a letter from Capita containing the full assessment report. (?)
A couple of days later I had a text from DWP saying they now had the full assessment report and they would pass on my request for consideration. this could take 'up to 4 weeks'
What had they been doing with it for the previous 6 weeks??!!
When the 4 weeks was nearly up I again got a text repeating the last one - plus, it could take up to 4 weeks for the process to be completed.!!
I am now coming to the end of the second notification, but have heard no more.
I think the DWP is displaying a contemptible disregard for the suffering they are inflicting on me through this elongated process.
Is there a complaints procedure I can go through to relay my feelings about the poor treatment i have recieved?

I would involve your MP, there is no reason why an MR should take more than 8 weeks!
