I have received my face to face assessment letter this morning for a home assessment next week I thought from the news headlines that Nobody will be called for a f2f assessment or lose any money seems DWP and Sarah Newton MP have different views on this unless they have failed to inform Atos of their decision

You (and several others) have misunderstood what this news article was about :)

It's in regard the DWP looking at previous awards of PIP to see if anybody has been effected by the changes to the Going Out activity, it does not effect current or future assessments in anyway.

Ahh right thanks for the clarification Gordon still I don't understand why the need to put claimants through all the stress of reassesments when transfering them over from DLA reading through some of the posts on here regarding the lies that many assessors are putting into reports is very concerning it appears that many assessors have little or no experience with medical conditions how they can make an assessment on someone's medical condition and how it effects there daily living when some have no medical background is beyond me it seems the system is now designed purely to hit targets to reduce the number of claimants and to make it harder to appeal their decisions difficult times ahead for many I fear .
Just my opinion

Had my face to face assessment today the young lady was very pleasant and seemed to know what she was doing ..she was doing a lot of typing whilst asking me questions so i assume she was taking down everything i was saying about my condition and the difficulty I was having doing things on my own and seemed very sympathetic to what I was saying after going through my form and asking a lot of questions about what I can and can't do she said we need to do a few simple exercisers whilst I was sitting just arm hands and leg movements then said she will submit her report and I should get a decision within 8 weeks ...although I felt a bit stressed before the assessment she did make me more relaxed during it and it did seem to go well all I can do is wait now for the decision and hope that I explained enough how my condition effects my daily living and hope the transfer of my dla goes smoothly over to pip .

I would give it a couple of days and then you can request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim. We would expect a Decision in 2-4 weeks.
