pip, change of add. esa appeal was created by H.k
hello everyone
i am in need of some advice about how to fill in PIP from, mandatory consideration for appeal for ESA ( taken off support and placed in work group) and info about informing DWP about change of address.
I suffer badly from anxiety ( social ) panic attacks, depression and agrophobia and having read some reports here about people pip etc being stopped because they changed address is really giving me sleepless nights , i cant remember when i last ate anything since i read about this.
i already receive PIP and just got form last week for renewal and i need advice on how best to answer the questions in the form rather than ticking the no change options which i guess would catch a lot of people out
i am so stressed worried about change of address i simply cant relax and i really some advice from anyone here as i feel like I'm having a nervous breakdown with all the worry anxiety
please can anyone help help
my PIP form has to be returned by 24 this month (feb)

H.k,

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

For help with the PIP form, see our PIP Claim guide for the criteria against which you will be assessed and all the issues involved with completing the form.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

For the ESA

The first stage to challenging a Decision is for you to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim, have a look at our ESA MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the ESA area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa1

You should contact the DWP for a copy of the assessment report if you have not already done so (ESA85), I would phone them but again follow up the request in writing. Once you have the assessment report you will have a better understanding of how the DWP Decision Maker has come to their conclusions and will then be able to argue against them.

RE informing the DWP of a change of address.

I would notify each department that you receive benefits from in writing that you will be moving, send the letters a couple of days before you actually move, so that they will receive them about the same time as you actually do.

If you can afford it I would arrange for your mail to be forwarded for at least a couple of months so you catch anything that is sent to the wrong address.

Gove it a couple of weeks and then check with the DWP that your address has been updated.

Addresses for each office should be on the letters that you have received about each benefit.

H.k,

You can appeal up to 13 months after the date of the Decision, although you will need to explain why your request is late.

Have yo completed the MR process yet?

hello gordon
i am not sure what the MR process is, ( would that be a medical review )
i was on support esa then after having a medical review was placed on work group which is causing me no end of anxiety ( this was july last year it was supposed to be recorded but equipment failed and was not allowed to record with my own voice recorder on usb drive i had on me so felt pressured into going ahead with medical) have been passed from one mental health organisation to another via my gp and am now undergoing review of medication for depression, anxiety and help with agoraphobia, dr concerned as my mental health not improving and losing weight and not sleeping well,i was waiting on reports back from the mental health folk but don't want wait any longer as i am worried that if i wait much longer for appeal for the esa appeal it will work against me
i just wish i had found this site much sooner

An MR is a Mandatory Reconsideration, it is the first step in challenging a Decision. If that is unsuccessful then you would go on to appeal.
