Thank you for your response.

I just called and spoke to a lady in another office and she advised the same as the first member of staff I spoke to.

Is there any way I can "persuade" them, or should I wait for the decision? Baring in mind when I asked for timescales, I was bluntly told that there are no timescales.

I'm afraid you are at the mercy of the call operators passing on your request, there is no leverage you can apply at the moment.

We would expect an ESA Decision to be around 2-4 weeks after the assessment.

Hello Gordon,

I have emailed CHDA to ask what recommendation the HCP has advised, and I got the following response:

Thank you for your email. I can advise you that the report completed by our Healthcare Professional is currently waiting to be audited so I can’t tell you anything at the moment I’m afraid but please get in touch with us in a couple of days and we may be able to provide you with some information.

Please be aware though that it is the Decision Maker at the DWP who make the decision on a benefit claim.

Kind regards

This makes me concerned as I'm worried my report will be changed!

Also, my other concern is that my assessment only lasted ten minutes.

Kind regards,

Lydia

Reports are regularly chosen (at random) for audit, it does not mean that it will be changed.

I'm afraid there is little that you can do until a Decision is made, I realise this is undoubtedly frustrating but all of the things you might do are dependant on you having that Decision Letter.

Hello Gordon,

I have received a copy of my medical report, and I must say I am very happy with how supportive the HCP is in her report.

However, I note that she has not recommended a prognosis/review date. All she states is that I have severe restriction in understanding communication, I have a progressive condition that is unlikely to improve in the longer term, and that I may possibly be able to learn braille.

I'm unsure how to take the above, aren't they supposed to recommended a review date?

Kind regards,

Lydz

There should be a review date at the back of the report unless they are recommending an In-going award where it usually says that it is inappropriate to recommend an award period.
