Debs

In your previous posts you've talked about having to stop when walking and this would suggest that you have a good claim that you cannot cover a distance in a reasonable timescale and possibly that you cannot walk to a necessary standard.

You need to be able to grip consistently and without pain, I would go with your being unable to do so safely for Preparing food and maybe for using aids with Washing and Bathing.

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

I have used a mixture of all of that and what I've been given and what I feel I should of got as grounds for appeal should I have just put a few lines on form and save this. For when I hear from dwp

Yes, you don't have to go into detail on the form, there's a completed SSCS1 in the MR & Appeal document, start your submission now but wait until you have received the DWP's one before you complete and send yours.

So I have sort of done my submission best hold it back and just put a few lines on form. Appealing mobility moving around on the grounds of not completed in a timely manor.
Appealing daily living preparing food on the grounds of safety. Would that do

I think it's a reasonable approach but as always the devil will be in the detail so don't rush to send your submission, explain in detail your problems, give examples and try and relate it back to your evidence.

Look back at my previous posts for more details of explaining these problems.
